Bumpdate {22 Weeks}

It's already February y'all and I'm sure this month will be gone just as quickly as it arrived! I only have 120 days until my due date which is insane. We have a super busy spring ahead of us, so I know that baby girl will be here before we know it. So for the next 18 weeks, I am determined to enjoy all the little pre-baby things that I've always taken for granted...getting lots of sleep, going out to dinner, hanging out with Jared just the two of us, going to the store/beach/pool by myself and spending as much time as I want walking around or doing whatever, and just being alone.

Week 22: January 29 - February 4

Week 22 Milestones:

- Baby is the size of a papaya this week! She officially weighs one full pound now, which seems like nothing considering how big my belly is already. She is moving around enough now to where her kicks can be felt from the outside sometimes. My mom got to feel her kick a couple times while we were watching the Super Bowl.

- My total weight gain is up to 18 pounds thus far. I am finally starting to feel like I am gaining weight in other places besides my belly, which makes me want to cry and then work out like crazy. Unfortunately, I can't work out like crazy which is rather frustrating. Looks like I'll just have to amp up my power-walking and start with some small arm weights, since that's really all I'm allowed to do. I have never been anything but thin for my entire life, so seeing a little "meat" on my arms and legs is a new experience for me. Not a fan.

- Food preferences: Waffles and coke icees. I'm still on my waffle kick, eating them for breakfast every single day...and sometimes for dinner too. I've done pretty good at repressing my coke icee craving. In the past week, I've only had 2 coke icees which I'm viewing as an accomplishment because I crave one every minute of every day. Technically, I'm allowed to have 200mg of caffeine per day and a coke icee only has 40mg of caffeine so I could actually have one every day if I wanted to. However, I'd rather avoid caffeine altogether as much as possible so I will try my best to keep my coke icee craving at bay. I did finally get brave enough to try mango again. I haven't been able to stand the smell or taste of mango since early on in my pregnancy, but I've now figured out that I can have it only if it is frozen and in a smoothie. The smell, taste and texture of fresh mango still makes me nauseous. Eggs and chicken breast still make my stomach churn as well. I'm starting to wonder if even after I'm not pregnant anymore I'll be able to tolerate eggs or chicken ever again.

The baskets and liners I ordered for the nursery closet were delivered this week. I can't wait to fill them with all of baby girl's little accessories.

We threw a baby shower this week for one of the girls in our church small group, Lindsey. Yes, three of us all in the same small group are pregnant at the same time, all with our first child...and we all live in the same neighborhood. Must be something in the water :) Here we are pictured in order of due date...Ellen is 26 weeks, I'm 22 weeks and Lindsey is 19 weeks.
