What I'm Loving Wednesday

Happy Wednesday y'all! I'm linking up with Jamie again for her weekly What I'm Loving Wednesday post.  Sorry this post is a little delayed today, but I hope everyone had a great day.

This week I'm loving...

I'm loving this 4-day work week since we had Monday off! It makes the week feel like it is flying by :)

I'm loving that Thanksgiving is next week. I can't wait to have a little time off of work and hang out with my family. Plus, Jared and I are hosting Thanksgiving this year at our house and I am so excited because it is one of my favorite holidays.

I'm loving my Phi Mu family. My great great great grand-little Kate was just elected President of our Phi Mu chapter at FSU and I am so proud of her. I was elected President of our chapter 5 years ago and now she is President. It must run in the family! Love you Kate! LIOB

I'm loving that volleyball season has come to a bittersweet end. We finished the season 6-6 and I am so proud of my girls. I was a little apprehensive about coaching at the beginning of this year, but I am so glad that I did. This has been a wonderful experience that I will surely never forget.

I'm loving that our first quail hunt of the season is this weekend. This will be our first time hunting since my dad passed away so I am sure that this will be a very emotional experience for me. Hunting was something that he taught me how to do and something that we always loved to do together. I know it's kind of an odd father-daughter activity, but I loved those moments we shared together in the woods.

I'm loving that my grandparents are moving back to Jacksonville this weekend. They have been living in South Florida since I was in high school, but I'm glad that they are going to be up here closer to us now so that I can see them more often.

I'm loving the Mayo Clinic for taking care of my brother. Whenever his Crohn's Disease is being more than its normal pain in the ass (literally), they always take good care of him and I am so very grateful to them for that.

I'm loving my 45-minute commute to work. I know, that seems like a weird thing to love. However, I love it because it gives me plenty of quality alone time everyday to think.

What I'm Loving Wednesday

Don't you just love the day after an election? It really brings out the best in people. Not. I will say that I do enjoy reading the variety of entertaining things people post on Facebook and having a good laugh at their expense. Anywho, I promised y'all yesterday that I would post today who I voted for in the election.
Drum roll please...

Obviously my candidate did not win last night, but I am still proud to be an American and a Republican.

Now, back to our regularly scheduled post for this lovely Wednesday. It has been a long time since I linked up with Jamie for What I'm Loving Wednesday. When I first woke up this morning, I was annoyed about the election and thinking to myself, "I can't write a post for WILW because I don't have anything positive to say right now. I'd rather write an angry, cynical post whining and complaining about the world." However, then I started thinking about all the things in my life that are really positive right now and decided that I need to stop whining so much and focus more on the blessings I have. So that is what I am going to do. If the election didn't go your way last night, try to focus on the positive things in your life today instead of the things that you have no control over. Happy Wednesday!

Here's What I'm Loving Today... 

I'm loving this beautiful, chilly weather that we are having here in Florida currently. Even if it only lasts for 2 days at a time. It is finally starting to feel like fall around here.

I'm loving that is cold enough for Jared and I to have a bonfire tonight. This will be our first bonfire of the season and it is one of my favorite things to do on a fall evening. We usually cook our dinner over the fire-pit and then enjoy some wine or beer by the fire. It's so much better than sitting on the couch watching TV. 

I'm loving that this election is finally over. What's done is done so let's move on with our lives. I especially love this quote that CMae posted on her blog this morning. It is so true. 

I'm loving that I have the day off of work on Monday (which means a 3-day weekend!) because schools are closed for Veterans' Day. Thank you to those who serve our country and defend our freedom every day.

I'm loving my intern a lot currently. She is awesome and I am going to miss her so much when she leaves my class in 3 weeks and I have to go back to doing my actual job. Plus, she baked a lasagna for all of us and brought it for lunch to school today to share. She's the bomb.com. 

I'm loving the girls on my volleyball team. We are currently 5-5 and no matter what they always conduct themselves in a such a classy manner on the court. Win or lose, they exhibit great sportsmanship in every match and are so supportive of each other. I can't believe that 14 girls who are so different can work so well together. I could not be more proud to be their coach. 

I'm loving my amazing hubby as always. I could not ask for a better best friend and life partner. Guess I did a pretty good job picking one out. Go me :)

What I'm Loving Wednesday!

I'm feeling pretty loving today so I think I'm due for a dose of What I'm Loving Wednesday with Jamie. Happy Hump Day!

Here's what I'm loving today...

I'm loving the fact that I have a three day weekend up ahead. Thank you MLK. 

I'm loving that I have been so productive this week! No more slacking for this girl...at least for now. 

I'm loving that it's finally time for my mom to cash in her birthday present from October. We are going to see Wicked on Sunday!

I'm loving that I got to spend time with my dad's side of the family this past weekend, even if it was for a sad occasion. Photo below: all of my cousins (aka: grandmama's grandchildren) and yes, I am the youngest of them all :)

I'm loving that I get to go with my students on a field trip tomorrow to the Museum of Science and History. 

I'm loving that my best friend Casey is coming to play with me this weekend! I think this calls for a photo montage of me and my BFF :)

Ok, so that photo montage got a little out of control...sorry. Don't worry I'm sure you'll get to see plenty more photos of Casey and I after she visits this weekend because you know there will be a lengthy post all about our adventures to follow.

What I'm Loving Wednesday!

Happy Thanksgiving Eve everyone! There are so many things to love and be thankful for this week that I just had to link up with Jamie today for her weekly What I'm Loving Wednesday post. 

Here's what I'm loving today...

I'm loving that fact that tomorrow is Thanksgiving! I absolutely love Thanksgiving; it's probably one of my favorite holidays. I can't wait to hang out with family and eat lots of delicious food tomorrow :)

I'm loving that some of my family from out of town is going to be joining us for the holiday weekend! My grandparents are already here, my sister-in-law comes in to town today and my mother-in-law will be here tomorrow. 

I'm loving my 6 days off of work for the holiday weekend! I don't have to go back to work until next Tuesday and I am loving this much need break from my job.

I'm loving the idea that Christmas is right around the corner. After tomorrow, it will officially be the Christmas holiday season!

I'm loving all the traditions that come with the holiday season. 

I'm loving everything about this weekend. Family, friends, football, good food and tons of fun! 

What I'm Loving Wednesday!

Happy Hump Day! It has been a while since I've linked up for What I'm Loving Wednesday and I'm trying to get my blogging back on track. So it's time to link up with Jamie at This Kind of Love for some Wednesday loving! 

Here's what I'm loving this week...

I'm loving fall and absolutely everything about it. Football is now in full swing and I'm gradually bringing out my fall decor at home and in my classroom. You know it's officially fall when they start selling those delicious smelling cinnamon broomsticks at the grocery store. I can hardly wait to start wearing my boots and long-sleeves, and making delicious fall treats like venison chili and pumpkin everything. Happy Fall Y'all!

I'm loving football. How could you not? College football literally makes me feel all warm and fuzzy inside. My Seminoles are looking good so far this season and looking forward to Gameday on Saturdays is what helps me get through my week. I'm still not a big fan of NFL football, but since my hubby participates in a Fantasy Football league it's always on at my house.  I'm starting to enjoy it more now that we have this fancy new channel, ESPN Red Zone, that jumps around to all the different NFL games to show you all the exciting action.

I'm loving my job. My students are pretty good this year, and I'm really enjoying most of them. Now that I'm in my 3rd year, I'm fully comfortable with what I'm teaching and how I'm teaching it. I finally get to try all these cool, fun ideas because I actually know what I'm doing now. More importantly, my co-workers are amazing. I'm really loving all the people that I'm working with this year, we are like one big happy family.


I'm loving life in general. My husband and I are so blessed to have such a great life together and we are loving every minute!     

What I'm Loving Wednesday!

Here's what I'm loving this week...

I'm loving pre-planning. I've always thought of pre-planning week as something like pre-recruitment but for school instead of sorority rush. It's a fun week to get pumped up and ready for a new school year.

I'm loving my classroom. I love decorating my classroom, just love it. It's almost finished and oh so beautiful, if I do say so myself. Pictures coming soon, I promise!

I'm loving my daddy for coming to my classroom and helping me put up my Week at a Glance. (Photo coming soon) It is perfectly straight and proportioned. All the other teachers will be jealous :)

I'm loving getting to help and guide some of our new first year teachers. I remember being clueless too and feeling so grateful that another teacher, who actually knew what they were doing, was so willing and excited to help me.

I'm loving that Janet Allen spoke at our district Language Arts training today! She is a fabulous teacher, writer, and consultant for teaching struggling readers. I have some of her books and they are brilliant.

I'm loving our 6th grade hall custodians who are always there when I need them to help me move classroom furniture or carry in boxes from my car. I really appreciate everything they do for me and my classroom.

I'm loving all the fun and exciting plans that I have come up with for this school year. It's going to be a great year, I can just tell :)

I'm loving that I get to meet all my new students at 6th grade orientation on Friday!

What I'm Loving Wednesday!

Happy Wednesday! Today is my last day working at my summer job, which can only mean one thing...back to school! I start pre-planning on Monday and I'm finally starting to look forward to it. Tomorrow, I'm going to be working on some DIY decor for my classroom that I super excited about. Don't worry I'll post photos of my glorious creations.

I'm loving my new planner! After much research and contemplation, I decided to get this Blue Sky planner from Office Depot. I was going to get either a Vera Bradley or a Lilly Pulitzer planner, but neither of those were big enough or had enough space for my large handwriting. Plus, this one was cheaper. I love it :)

I'm loving all these adorable garnet Gameday dresses that I found online! Now, I just have to convince my husband to buy one (or all) of them for me for football season.

I'm loving having friends come to visit. Last weekend our good friends, The McGuires, came and stayed with us and this weekend our friend, Rick and his pup Molly, are coming to stay. I could have visitors every weekend, I just love house guests!

I'm loving how the love and support of your fraternity brothers and sorority sisters continues long after college. This past weekend, we attended a baptism for our friends' son. The father is also my husband's fraternity brother. I loved seeing the other fraternity brothers there supporting their brother on this special occasion. They really are like your extended family.

Speaking of fraternity and sorority love...

I'm loving this article from the Huffington Post about how the university Greek system is the best example of community on college campuses. It makes me proud to be Greek! Want to Build a Better World? Go Greek!

I'm loving the blog that Brittany at Southernly Smitten wrote yesterday about the 5 Love Languages. You go on this website and take an assessment to get your Love Language Profile. It's really interesting because it tells you about what makes you feel truly loved. I took the quiz and here are my results...

I'm loving Pinterest. Oh my goodness, it is just so addicting. When I'm bored or just feel like procrastinating, I can always find something fun to look at on there. Here are some of the fun pins I've had this week...

I'm loving my husband, as always. He works so hard and when the stock market drops, his job sucks. This recent extreme yo-yo game the stock market has been playing is especially stressful for him at work. Keep your fingers crossed that the market goes back up again for the sake of our economy and my husband's sanity.

What I'm Loving Wednesday!

Happy Wednesday everyone! Once again, it's time to link up with Jamie at This Kind of Love for her weekly What I'm Loving Wednesday post.

Here's what I'm loving today...

I'm loving my daddy. Today is his birthday and he is the best dad ever. He is always there when I need him and he's so much fun to be around. Then again, if your name was Rocky, you'd probably be really cool too :) 

I'm loving that my parents live so close to me. I get to see them whenever I want and I can go over to their house to borrow stuff like the fax machine or their fancy vacuum. 

I'm loving blogging. Well obviously, since I've been blogging every single day, sometimes twice a day. Sorry, but I like to share :) Blogging has been a great experience for me and it is keeping me sane over the summer when I have nothing to do. I am going to be sad once school starts again and I won't be able to blog as much any more...boo. 

I'm loving scrapbooking! For once, I am actually enjoying all this scrapbooking that I am doing. It's not becoming the ridiculous production that it usually is, which makes it a lot more enjoyable. Plus, it's been really fun to look back at all the pictures from our wedding festivities. 

I'm loving that the sunshine has returned! After about a week of gross rainy weather everyday, the sun has finally come back. 

I'm loving my husband. Today is the 3 year anniversary of the day he proposed to me. He's the best and I love him more and more each day.
